Yoga

Yoga is a wonderful way to relax and unwind, to stretch and strengthen and to become more aware of your body, mind and spirit and the way they connect and influence each other.

Background

Having tried yoga some years ago, it was not until I was working towards healing from an illness that I turned to yoga for support and it has now become a regular part of my life. I studied a Diploma of Yoga Teaching, initially to find out more for myself about yoga, and now it has lead me to share yoga with others.

My training is in Hatha Yoga and I have also completed further training in Pre-natal Yoga.

Hatha – meaning sun & moon, the masculine & feminine, yin & yang

Yoga – union or joining

Therefore Hatha Yoga allows for a joining of both sides of self, the masculine & feminine, to create true balance, strength & focus.

I also bring a background in exercise physiology/science and personal training that allows me to offer further knowledge when needed.

Hatha Yoga Class may consist of:

  • Yoga poses/Asanas
  • Breath exercises/Pranayama
  • Meditation & Relaxation

Yoga is for all age groups and one of the many lessons of yoga is to develop self awareness and acceptance. That means that the individual is in control of their progress and moves at their own pace, which is guided by their own body & mind, as well as the teacher’s.

Yoga Sessions
  • Personal Sessions  1 hour  $80
  • Yoga at home         1 hour  $90
  • Adult Classes         1 hour  $185 per 10 week block  (or casual $24/class)
  • Kids Classes          45 min  $108 per 6 week block                
  • Pregnancy classes 50 min  $200 per 10 week block
  • Small Group Classes 1 hour  $100 (organised by your own organisation)                 

There are no cancellations/refunds/partial refunds once the yoga block has begun.

  • Block 2:   19 Apr - 21  June 2012     (10 week block)
  • Block 3:   12 July - 13 Sept 2012     (10 week block)
  • Block 4:   11  Oct - 13 Dec 2012       (10 week block)
Yoga Times 
  • Adults: Evenings:  Thursday 6.15-7.15pm     
  • Pregnancy Yoga:  Thursday 5.15-6.05pm (from 13 weeks pregnant to birth)               
  • Kids:                    Thursday 4.30-5.15pm   

Bookings are essential.  Block fees due at first session.  Please bring a yoga mat and towel.
